White Dorper sheep were developed alongside the traditional Blackhead Dorper in South Africa, selected to produce the same outstanding meat genetics in a fully white-coated animal. The white coat makes White Dorpers the preferred choice for markets where hide colour is important in processed leather products, or where religious requirements specify all-white animals.

White Dorpers share all performance characteristics with Blackhead Dorpers — the same self-shedding fleece, rapid growth rates (350–400g/day), excellent feed efficiency, and adaptability to harsh environments. They are increasingly the preferred Dorper type in Middle Eastern markets.

Our White Dorper stud maintains strict registration standards with the Dorper Sheep Breeders' Society of South Africa.
